Case Study: Stepping Into Board-Level Presence

Bold & Brilliant Client: Cindy Doe, Retired Partner & Board Member

Introduction:

As Cindy was preparing to transition from her role as a Partner at EY into board-level opportunities,  she realized that her current headshots no longer reflected how she needed to be seen and wanted to ensure her presence aligned with her new level of influence.

The Challenge:

While Cindy was excited about this new chapter, she knew her current images weren’t doing her justice.

Her existing headshots didn’t convey the level of executive presence required for board positions, and more importantly, they didn’t feel like her.

She wanted to be seen as a strong, credible leader without defaulting to a look that felt overly masculine. She was clear on the balance she wanted: authority with a sense of femininity, but wasn’t sure how to bring that to life.

The Process:

Latrice approached the process by first understanding Cindy’s leadership presence, career trajectory, and the way she wanted to be perceived — a seasoned, assured executive stepping into her next level of influence.

From there, Latrice curated a look that reflected that foundation, incorporating structured, classic pieces while introducing softer details through color, texture, and accessories.

The result was the balance Cindy wanted, one that communicated authority and influence, while still feeling aligned with Cindy’s personal style.

The Impact:

Cindy couldn’t believe how accurately the final images reflected who she is as a leader today.

When she shared the photos with friends and family, their reactions were immediate— “wow, who’s that?”—capturing the elevated presence the images conveyed while still feeling true to her.

One of the images now serves as her LinkedIn profile, giving her a visual presence that aligns with how she’s showing up in this new season.

As Cindy put it — “I felt like a celebrity.”
